The Art of Slow Postpartum™ Training for Doulas & Birthworkers

Join my new online course and discover my unique step-by-step strategy for supporting new parents in the postpartum weeks. This training is suitable for all doulas and birth professionals wanting to learn more about the benefits and methods of caring for new families with my Slow Postpartum approach.

Introduction to the Slow Postpartum Movement

Bringing a new baby home is seen to be a time of joy and celebration. However many new mothers and parents are instead suffering in the weeks following birth. Exhausted and overwhelmed with sleep deprivation, breastfeeding problems and a lack of support they are struggling to enjoy their new baby and the first weeks of parenthood.

I believe there should be a new paradigm.

All around the world people are seeing the benefits in their lives from intentionally taking the time to slow down and live more mindfully. I believe that there is no more important time to practice this than the first few weeks with a new baby.

In fact, many traditional cultures around the world view the weeks following birth as a time of potent and powerful transformation for a new mother. A time when she deserves the utmost in tender loving care and attention so that she can focus on the important work of healing and recovering from pregnancy and birth as well as nurturing and nourishing her new baby.

Taking inspiration from the philosophy of slow living and traditional postpartum care, I have created an international movement to educate and inspire as to the benefits of slowing down the postpartum weeks so as to improve outcomes for new mothers, parents and families.

Jojo has been the light of our lives and the energy she brings into our home each week has allowed me to be a better mother and wife. Sometimes I simply needed a tea and a chat, and other times jojo’s hands worked magic on my back or on my feet but everytime without fail Jojo prepared me warm and nourishing meals. The breadth of knowledge Jojo has is worth its weight in gold.  I can not recommend Jojo enough.

Working with Jojo in the Art of Slow Postpartum Mastermind training gave me an amazing feeling of accomplishment, confidence and inspiration. Not only was I able to to create a structure as to what needs to be covered in my prenatal sessions but I’ve also put together a comprehensive postpartum program for my doula agency and feel much more confident bringing care to my clients. WOW!! had the absolute pleasure of meeting this beautiful human yesterday for a full body pregnancy massage and left feeling a million dollars! I am 39 weeks pregnant and was just what I needed…my only regret is not booking in with her sooner and can’t wait to see her again next week. Jojo made me feel so comfortable, relaxed and she really knew her stuff.  Highly Recommend!!
